Mobile police have arrested Michael Berry, the man accused of killing his estranged in front of her four kids.
Berry was arrested around 9:20 p.m. at the Winn-Dixie Supermarket at Cottage Hill and Schillinger Road. The grocery store is in the same shopping center as the RBC where the murder occurred.
Police say someone recongnized him and contacted authorities.
Police say Berry shot 36-year-old Wendy Stevens multiple times around 6:45 Tuesday night. She was sitting in her SUV at the drive-thru ATM with her four kids.
Stevens filed for divorce in January and later filed a restraining order against Berry. Berry was supposed to be in court this morning for allegedly violating that order.
Stevens' attorney Mike Murphy told News 5 that Berry had been stalking his client, harassing her and even made threatening phone calls. Murphy told his client to buy a gun, but she wouldn't.
